Equal Voice in Pupil Referral Units focuses on supporting young people with their reintegration. We look at individual behaviour, anger management, interview skills and strategies for remaining in mainstream school once reintegrated. We have found film and dramas to be a very powerful medium in this work, as pupils have a chance to see and hear themselves in challenging situations.
- Tailored packages that focus on specific school objectives e.g. bullying, exclusion prevention, peer mediation and anger management.
- Sessional Work for Pupil Referral Units with focus on behaviour, group dynamics, life and interview skills.
- INSET twilight sessions, support and training, which introduce Equal Voice and look at areas of concern and focus for teachers.
"Your project should be congratulated. Equal Voice appears to be the type of project, in conjunction with the LEA and other support mechanisms required to address levels of school exclusions."
