Professional Support
& Training Programmes

An Equal Voice session in full swing.

Professional Development Days provide an overview of the potential for Equal Voice use within a school or unit and strategies for how this work can be practically taken forward. We offer a range of training for adults working with young people ranging from a one-hour twilight inset to modular courses.

We find that after these days people have the confidence to use basic Equal Voice techniques but above all have an awareness and understanding of the philosophy.

  • Development days: a practical day's hosted by individual Education Business Partnerships inviting local teachers across the Key Stages to an introduction to the Equal Voice philosophies and techniques with specific focus areas e.g. gifted and able, challenging behaviour etc.
  • INSETs: held at your school: An insight into the Equal Programme and a forum to share particular concerns and how Equal Voice can be applicable to your school.
  • Modular courses: a six- week programme for Equal Voice school co-ordinators offering training, reflection and support.
  • Interview Technique sessions for college students, young job seekers and training providers - see Development Projects for further details.

"... [Equal Voice] activities can be managed in a short amount of time, which is one of the biggest challenges as a teacher, fitting everything in!"
